This program brings together three German Baroque cantatas centered on reflection, trust, and hope. In the cantata Du aber, Daniel, gehe hin , Georg Philipp Telemann conveys the message of resignation from the Book of Daniel using restrained yet poignant musical means.

In Bestelle dein Haus , Christian Ludwig Boxberg reflects on the transience of life, and in Aus der Tiefen rufe ich, Herr, zu dir , you can hear Johann Sebastian Bach’s plea for mercy from Psalm 130.
