Liebeslieder / From Brahms to Wilford
Locatie:
't Zand 34, Brugge, 8000, België
©️ 2025 Olga Pashchenko
In the popular Neue Liebeslieder-Walzer for four voices and piano four hands, Johannes Brahms sings about romantic love in folk melodies and dancing rhythms.
The Flemish composer Arthur Wilford (1851-1926) was also charmed by Brahms's choral songs. His Liebeslieder im Mai and Herbstwinde may be completely unknown to the general public, but they perfectly match Brahms's charm, atmosphere, and content.
Featuring Olga Pashchenko and Mariam Chincharauli on a historic piano from 1894!
